New swords for the month of October

Hello everyone!

We apologize if this announcement was posted a little bit late. As most of you know, Geisha’s Blade is just a one-woman (Jaimee) and one-man (Aldwin) team,Â where the man literally does all the work! Then the newest member of the team, our 4-month old baby girl, Jinjer-Aimee has been taking a lot of time off of our hands. So we’re unable to post announcements and send newsletters on time.

Going back to our new swords, we’re sure that most of you already know that they’re already available on our website for purchase since we post all of our product updates on our Facebook page. To those who don’t have a Facebook account, we sincerely apologize for not posting this announcement soon. But don’t worry, we still have a lot of the new swords in stock. Alright, enough with the talk and on to our new swords!

HAND FORGED 1060 and 1050 SWORDS

Kamakiri Katana 1060 Series (with real hamon and kogatana blade)

You’d really get your money’s worth on this beautiful katana! Not only the blade is flexible, but it also features a beautiful, real/natural hamon, very ‘crisp’ shinogi (ridgeline), and geometric yokote that’s only available on our 1095 and T10 swords. It also includes a kogatana (small blade) that is uncommon in today’s modern reproduction Japanese style swords of this quality.

Aikuchi Katana 1050 Series – PHP 8,800

The Aikuchi Katana looks like a regular katana but without a tsuba. â€˜Aikuchiâ€™ is a style of mounting in which the tsuka and the saya meet without a tsuba in between. Originally used on the koshigatana (a precursor to the wakizashi) to facilitate close wearing with armor, it became a fashionable upper-class mounting style for tanto from the Kamakura period onwards. This sword also features a kogatana in the saya.

Geishaâ€™s Blade version of the Highlander Katana from the 1986 British-American adventure fantasy film, Highlander. This sword was based on the sword used by Juan SÃ¡nchez Villa-Lobos RamÃrez. It later became Connor MacLeodâ€™s when his friend and mentor was beheaded by the Kurgan.
