Description
This Bannou knife is one of the newest knife designs from the Nagao Kanekoma Factory in Miki-shi, Hyogo, Japan (maker of the Higonokami). It is a universal/all purpose knife that can be used for anything: from food preparation to woodworking, etc. It’s made of Shirogami/White Steel (high carbon steel) in the sanmai (warikomi) construction.
The sheath is wrapped in kimono fabric and the tang/handle is wrapped in paracord. The kimono fabric and paracord come in random colors and design. So no two bannou knives are alike. This means, we only have one of each designs and colors.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the nature of the production of this knife, there will be some slight imperfections on the blade.

The 2 kanji stamped horizontally on the blade is 登録 = Toroku which means “Register”, but here it’s short for Registered Trademark. While the 3 kanji stamped vertically is 肥後守 which reads “Higonokami”. Stamped on the other side of the blade are the katakana カネコマ which reads “Kanekoma”.
